In fall 2025, our family learned we were expecting mo-di twins—our rainbow babies. Our first child was an ideal unmedicated birth with doula support, and initially we felt didn't need the support this time. As my twin pregnancy progressed, I became increasingly aware of unique challenges of twin birth. I worried about burdening my husband to be both my support and advocate during labor. At 32 weeks, we connected with Hailey, and I immediately felt a sense of trust and ease. Even with only a few weeks before a 37-week induction, we quickly built a relationship. She checked in regularly, discussed our birth preferences, and gave me confidence that our wishes would be supported. After hours of little progress following the breaking of my water, we had to consider Pitocin. I was nervous about losing the unmedicated birth experience I hoped for - Hailey helped us weigh our options and communicate with the medical team so Pitocin could be introduced gradually. Throughout labor, she offered encouragement, and helped me stay grounded. Hailey was a constant calm, reassuring presence. Because it was a twin delivery, I was required to give birth in the OR where both Hailey and my husband remained by my side. Hailey advocated for position changes and provided cues during pushing.
By the time Hailey left the hospital, she had supported us for 24 hours through labor and the safe arrival of both our sons. Her care continued postpartum as we reflected on the birth and celebrated achieving the experience we had hoped for. She even connected me with an experienced mother of twins, providing valuable support as I entered life with multiples.
We will always be grateful that Hailey accepted us as clients so late in pregnancy. Her steady, compassionate presence made an immeasurable difference in our birth experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking dedicated support during one of life’s most important moments.
