This was our second time working with Michele and once again she went absolutely above and beyond. In the middle of my pregnancy, when I was unsatisfied with my prenatal care and lack of midwives in the GW system, she advised us to consider home birth and helped put us in touch with our wonderful midwife from our first child's birth who had since moved to a home midwifery practice. This was all before we were even certain we'd need a doula again or signed a contract. I'm amused now that we ever thought twice. Not only did Michele help us create the ideal care team for a beautiful prenatal care experience but she turned out to be the absolute superhero of the home birth. When baby decided to make his entrance after just 4 hours of labor at home, and the midwife and birth assistant were still on their way to us, Michele was there calmly and confidently keeping things under control, keeping myself and my husband feeling positive, and actually caught the baby herself two minutes before the midwife arrived! We weren't scared or overwhelmed at all. It was a pretty amazing experience and we feel incredibly lucky to have had Michele with us every step of the way. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had what felt to me to be a pretty optimal pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum experience, and hope that more women with low risk pregnancies can have an experience like this.
