She was experienced, knowledgeable and informative, sweet, caring, supportive and most importantly cool, calm and collected!
Ashleigh met with us a few times in the last weeks of my pregnancy to get to know our wants and wishes, and has followed up multiple times postpartum to check in. She is fantastic at communicating and really cares about her clients.
I wanted an unmedicated labor and I achieved my goal - thanks to Ashleigh's coaching and guidance - however due to unforeseen conditions (baby not descending) she helped me remain calm and come to the decision a caeseran was the best choice. She stayed with me in the OR and talked me through it, which helped me know what to expect next. When I was starting to break down, she knew exactly when and how to step in to help.
After the chaos of labor had ended and our daughter was in my arms, Ashleigh sat with me, my husband and our baby girl and helped us pick her name. A moment of peaceful quiet surrounded us for what felt like hours, and I know it was all thanks to Ashleigh's calming presence. From start to finish she was there for us.
Ashleigh was also an enormous source of support for my husband. She helped him process all the crazy emotions happening in real time. Ashleigh was there to take some of the stress off his plate - when he was focused on me, she was focused on hospital staff, and vice versa. She was familiar with the hospital policies and the staff and was able to work along side them seamlessly.
From the beginning, it was clear Ashleigh absolutely loves doing this incredible work. I am so grateful to have had her by my side during the most vulnerable moments of my life. We could not recommend Ashleigh enough!
