After a very challenging first labor, I went into my second pregnancy carrying a lot of fear and uncertainty. From our very first meeting, Patty helped me regain my confidence. I was worried that labor would be just as long and painful as my first experience, but she took the time to listen, answer my questions, and reassure me that every birth is different. Her calm presence and confidence made such a difference.
Patty is incredibly knowledgeable—not just about labor and birth, but about babies, postpartum recovery, and everything in between. It was honestly impressive how much she knew and how naturally she shared that knowledge in a way that felt supportive rather than overwhelming.
During my labor, Patty was exactly who I needed by my side. At one point, she suggested to my midwife that I try a different position. We made the change, and shortly afterward my baby was born. Her experience, intuition, and advocacy were invaluable.
Patty stayed with us until we were transferred to the postpartum room, helping me get settled and making sure we were ready before she left. I always felt safe, supported, and cared for when she was around.
Patty is truly a gem. If we are blessed with a third baby, there is no question that I will want her by my side again. Having Patty as part of my birth team gave me so much peace of mind, and I am forever grateful she was part of our birth story once again.
