Kalen helped us take care of our first baby from birth to four-month old. She took the time before the baby's arrival to help us set up the nursery and show us how to swaddle and do a diaper change. The hands on practice prepared us well once our baby arrived.
Kalen was there to support us on the day we came home with our baby, which was so helpful since we weren't quite sure what to do with a newborn as first time parents. Kalen taught us how to recognize cues for hunder, sleep, and discomfort etc. We felt confident with taking care of our baby very quickly, thanks to her guidance. Our baby is always so happy because she took such good care of our baby. We completely trust leaving our baby under Kalen's care.
Additionally, Kalen provided emtional support and practical advice with lactation/breastfeeding. I really appreciate her non-judgmental and gentle approach when it comes to feeding the baby. Kalen is very compassionate. She really listens to my issues/concerns, and gently guided me towards my goal.
I highly recommend Kalen as a postpartum doula, and we are very thankful for the great postpartum/newborn care that Kalen provided.
