Diana Roth was everything my wife and I needed and more for our first birthing experience! 6 weeks out from our delivery date the nerves got to us both and we were having a hard time deciding if we were actually going to do a hospital birth or a birthing center. We then got onto the topic of doulas and realized that with insurance it was much more affordable than we previously imagined! My wife picked Diana out of the options she found because Diana's profile and photos just spoke to her. We made contact with Diana and told her how close we are to our due date, and without hesitation she said "we got a lot to do before this baby comes!" We met a week later for the first time in person and got our birth plan put together, she showed us how to use breast pumps and just gave us a sense of comfort we didn't know we needed. Her experience as a doula really shows in the way she communicates and how she listens actively. Diana has tools and tricks for everything you didn't know you needed(if its your first baby like it was ours). My wife was in labor for 30 hours and 18 of it was unmedicated. Diana and with the help of the amazing team at the hospital, led my wife to a calm, collected and focused mindset, and advocated for her safety and the babies safety. Diana advocated for my wife in ways that I wouldn't have known I even had too! She led the team (us/hospital staff) with grace and when things got tough, she remained steadfast and committed to helping sheperd my daughter into this world. Diana is exactly what you think a doula should be and than some, having her with us on that magical day was like having a living guardian angel right there in the room.
