Barbie was truly exceptional throughout every stage of our journey into parenthood. Before the birth of our son, she met with us multiple times and served as both a teacher and a guide, helping us understand in deep detail our options, prepare for labor, and advocate for the hospital birth experience we hoped for. Her knowledge was invaluable, but even more meaningful was the confidence and peace of mind she helped us build before labor began. She kept consistent communication with me throughout each week of pregnancy, answering any and all questions along the way.
My labor and delivery experience took many unexpected twists and turns, and I cannot imagine navigating it without Barbie by my side. Through every challenge, she provided steady support, helping me process information, make difficult decisions, communicate with hospital staff, and find ways to labor more comfortably. She brought both expertise and a calming presence to moments that felt overwhelming, and I always felt supported, informed, and safe in her care.
After our son was born, Barbie facilitated the most thoughtful and healing birth debrief. She helped us process our experience, answered countless new-parent questions, and gave me space to work through aspects of the birth that were emotionally difficult.
What makes Barbie so special is that she offers far more than professional expertise. She is one of the most compassionate, honest, and heart-centered people I have ever met. She approaches this work with genuine care and deep respect for the families she serves. To us, she has been much more than a doula, she has been a trusted guide, an incredible teacher, and a source of comfort during one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of our lives.
