Maggie is amazing, and we would 100% recommend her to anyone! We weren’t sure if we were going to have a doula for the birth of our first child, but after our initial conversation with Maggie it felt like an easy choice. She has a very supportive, down-to-Earth, non-judgmental approach which made us feel very comfortable from the start. As somewhat anxious first-time parents, we were so relieved to find a doula with her expertise who we also really connected with as a person. Maggie is clear and organized, and she provided plenty of resources for every step of the process including Google docs with agendas and information for each of the 3 pre-birth meetings. When contractions started, she came to our home and was by our side for almost a full day, through the birth at the hospital. Maggie was an excellent advocate for us while we were in the hospital, making sure that we understood everything that was happening and being told to us by the doctors and nurses. She was a voice of reason when things were feeling stressful or overwhelming. In the days following the birth, Maggie followed up to make sure everything was going well, and stopped by our home again to say hello and drop off food. From pregnancy to labor and birth to postpartum days, Maggie made our entire experience better and we can’t imagine having done it without her!
