I truly can’t imagine giving birth to my baby girl without Steph’s support. My daughter had fetal growth restriction and was born 6 weeks early because I developed preeclampsia. I also had a vanishing twin very early on in my pregnancy. Having Steph’s knowledge and expertise throughout my pregnancy was very reassuring and comforting in such a stressful and uncertain time. I’m so thankful she had given me education and resources on preeclampsia so it wasn’t quite as scary when it happened to me and I knew what to expect as far as treatment. When my baby arrived 6 weeks early, Steph rearranged her schedule to be there for the birth and for about a week after. She took pictures and videos of the birth per our request and supported me throughout my C-section recovery so that my husband could be fully present with our daughter in the NICU. She also helped me establish my milk supply in the hours and days after the birth, which was especially difficult because I wasn’t able to be with my baby consistently. She washed my pump parts in between pumping sessions and helped me stay on schedule so I could provide my baby with as much breast milk as possible. Steph provided a family centered experience, always making sure to include my husband in all conversations and decisions. We will be forever grateful for Steph’s incredible kindness, support, and sensitivity during the most important moments of our lives.
