I truly believe everything happens in God’s timing, and that’s exactly how my doula Natasha came into my life.
She was introduced to me by a close family member, and from the moment we met, I knew she was my person. Learning she was part Cape Verdean made it even more special. Having someone who understood my culture while guiding me into motherhood meant everything to me.
Although I live in NYC and Natasha is based in Boston, she reassured me distance would never be an issue, and she proved that every step of the way.
From regular check-ins to emotional support, she was always there whenever I needed her. She took the time to truly understand me, my husband, and my family, making this experience feel deeply personal and supported.
When I unexpectedly had to be induced a week early, Natasha drove overnight to be by my side. After more than 32 hours of labor ending in a C-section, she never left us. She kept both me and my husband grounded through one of the biggest moments of our lives.
After my baby was born, she continued supporting us at home, helping with feedings, recovery, and making sure we were okay physically and emotionally during those first overwhelming days.
By the end of this journey, Natasha was no longer just my doula, she became family. We are forever grateful for her care, love, and passion for what she does.
