Hiring Victoria was one of the best decisions we made for our birth experience.
For prenatal support, Victoria helped us prepare before the birth such as guide us through creating our birth plan as well as answering a variety of prenatal questions.
For labor and birth support, we really appreciated having an additional individual stay with us throughout our time at the hospital (induction to c-section recovery). For example, she advocated for us during important moments, provided valuable additional opinions on things, and helped guide various comfort measures.
Once we were home, Victoria’s support made recovery so much easier. She helped with newborn care basics like the baby's first bath, breastfeeding, and babywearing. She even went above and beyond by doing a small baby photoshoot for us and picking up last-minute clothing when our baby arrived too small for the clothes we had!
Overall our main goal for getting a doula was for the emotional support as we moved through this experience as first-time parents. Victoria really helped ease anxieites for both me and my birth partner throughout the entire process. She is highly communicative, pragmatic, and always provided thoughtful input for all our questions.
I would definitely recommend Victoria and hire her again.
