I brought Marissa on very early in my pregnancy, and from that moment on, she became one of the greatest blessings of my entire journey into motherhood. Honestly, I truly don’t think I could have survived pregnancy without her. She held my hand every single step of the way — through the excitement, the uncertainty, the fears, the questions, and all of the emotions that come with becoming a first-time mom.
She took the time to truly understand my hopes and preferences for birth and thoughtfully guided me toward making the best decision about where to deliver.
Although my labor and delivery did not go according to plan, I cannot put into words how invaluable her presence was during that experience. In moments where I felt overwhelmed, scared, and vulnerable, she remained calm, grounding, and incredibly reassuring. Her advocacy gave me strength when I didn’t feel like I had any left. She made sure my voice was never lost, even in the middle of an unexpected and emotional birth experience.
She is truly such a light — the kind of person whose energy instantly makes you feel safe and cared for. What meant even more to me was that her support did not end once my son was born. She continued checking in on me postpartum, making sure I was emotionally and physically okay during one of the most difficult transitions of my life. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes about the kind of person she is.
I will forever be grateful for her compassion, warmth, advocacy, and unwavering support. Working with her was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy, and I already look forward to having her by my side again for future pregnancies/births.
