Getting connected to Anuja was a great stress reliever. Not only was she responsive in helping me understand her abilities as a doula pre birth but what she can offer in support for the labor itself and post partum. She took the time to understand my wants to help advocate for me. She reassured me that either she or a backup would be available when the time came. I went into labor with my second child after going 4 days past the due date. Anuja met us at the hospital and readied me emotionally. My experience with this second delivery was smoother with her help. Her interventions of physical touch and deep pressure countered my contraction pain in my back and use of a birthing ball, cooling fan, and spiky massage balls helped provide relief. After my son's birth, Anuja photographed precious moments of our first meeting as a family and my husband giving skin to skin contact. She stayed with us until we were transferred units to recover. I'm so grateful for her.
