Madi was such a blessing to our family around my fourth child’s birth. It was a hospital birth and I had a lot of apprehension around being able to effectively communicate my preferences. Madi supported me through being mentally prepared and helped me find evidence-based information on the topics that concerned me. My pregnancy was full of anxiety; we had various medical and personal issues that weighed on us heavily, and she was truly present for me in navigating it all and keeping focused. Madi is really impressive with her comfort in a hospital environment, she was completely unruffled and her calm transferred to us. She has a naturally soothing and caring demeanor, while anticipating what is coming next in the birth process and what we really needed. My precipitous birth ended up in a hemorrhage, and I really felt like she was my external presence of mind when it came to decision-making and communication. Her presence with us postpartum was also amazing - my house was absolute chaos, and she waded right in and took on chores, lactation snacks, and my very chatty 5yo! I would absolutely choose to connect with her again if I have any more children.
