We can't say enough great things about working with Barbie! I was initially hesitant to work with a doula, not knowing if it could benefit me and having my own misbeliefs that a doula was only beneficial for alternative or home birthing plans. I was so wrong and I am so happy that we ended up working with Barbie. She was so incredibly informative and supportive of all of our intervention choices. I ended up going into labor early and Barbie happened to be on vacation that week. Despite being in a different time zone and miles away, Barbie continue to be extremely supportive and communicative. She jumped through hoops to find us local support that could be present for labor. Aside from her depth of knowledge and constant availability for communication, Barbie's presence is warm, comforting, and empowering. Again, we would recommend her for any birth!
