Julie was incredible from the very beginning. As first-time parents, my husband and I were amazed by how supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful she was throughout my pregnancy and labor experience. My first pregnancy I was induced and was coached through and entire 17 hour labor.
We valued all of the information, guidance, and reassurance Julie provided so much that we decided to hire her again. As soon as we found out we were expecting baby #2, there was no question in our minds that we wanted Julie by our side again.
Throughout my pregnancy, Julie maintained open communication and consistently supported us every step of the way. She provided labor prep and education each week, which helped us feel informed and confident going into delivery. She even helped me get my baby flipped from frank breech to head down, something I was incredibly grateful for.
During my delivery, Julie was truly there for both me and my husband. She had attended another labor the day before and had only gotten a few hours of sleep, something we only knew because she mentioned it. You never would have guessed she was sleep deprived.Her presence was calm, attentive, and unwavering throughout the entire labor process.
My labor was only a total of 7 hours and I attribute that to all of the exercises I did leading up to delivery that Julie provided each week.
Julie helped us understand our options and empowered us to make informed decisions for ourselves. Whenever healthcare staff discussed choices, Julie made sure we fully understood everything and reminded us that we had a voice in our care.
Even after delivery, Julie continued checking in on us and offering support, which has meant so much to our family.
I recommend Julie to everyone I know. She is truly an incredible doula and support person to have during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
