I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Shannon from The Womb Room. From the moment I met her, she instantly felt like family. During the final weeks of my pregnancy, she was such a comforting, attentive, and caring presence in my life. She always seemed to know exactly what to say and made me feel supported, understood, and cared for every step of the way.
One of the things that meant the most to me was how available she made herself. Shannon made it clear from the beginning that I could text or call her about absolutely anything, and knowing I had that kind of support during such an emotional and vulnerable time was incredibly reassuring. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I never felt alone.
When it finally came time to give birth, it was 2:30 in the morning when my contractions started getting intense. I called Shannon, and she immediately helped guide me through them with such calmness and reassurance. She gave me helpful tips and tricks to manage the contractions, and once they became more frequent, I decided it was time to head to the hospital. Shannon met me there and stayed by my side through every single step of labor and delivery.
Looking back, there were so many little things Shannon did that became huge in the moment — whether it was comforting words, helping me stay calm, advocating for me, or simply being a steady presence in the room. She helped turn my first birth experience into something truly beautiful, positive, and unforgettable.
I feel so blessed and grateful to have had Shannon as part of such a life-changing moment in my life. I honestly cannot imagine going through pregnancy and birth without her support now. I will absolutely be having her right by my side again for any future pregnancies. I highly, highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a doula who is compassionate, supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the families she works with.
