We had booked another night doula months in advance to prepare for our first few weeks with our newborn. Unfortunately she was out sick - and we were scrambling to find a replacement. It was all so much to figure out as you can imagine-- coming home with a new baby, trying to learn how to breastfeed, and recovering from an emergency C section. Thankfully we were referred to Grady! She came into our lives with compassion and ease (on top of being incredibly experienced and knowledgeable). She was truly a godsend and helped us transition into our roles as parents. She was a natural with our baby and she eased our nerves and answered questions. She essentially helped us create a rhythm with our baby and we don't think we would have been able to have such a wonderful transition into parenthood without her! She taught us baby-wearing, swaddling, was a shoulder to cry on during breastfeeding difficulties... the list goes on.
