Kristina was truly such a breath of life throughout my entire pregnancy. From our very first meeting, her energy immediately put me at peace and at ease. I felt like she was someone I had known for years, and I felt completely comfortable with her right away.
She was always there for questions, recommendations, reassurance, and support, and she truly helped keep me sane. I unfortunately experienced prodromal labor for three weeks before my due date, and Kristina supported me through every moment of it, including the false alarms when we thought it might finally be time.
She was also able to help us know when it was actually time to go to the birth center, and she arrived so quickly once labor was real. Thank goodness she helped us make that call, because I was 8.5 cm when we got there!
During labor, Kristina kept me laughing, breathing, grounded, and calm. She also documented our labor and birth with the most amazing photos, which I still look at every single day. Toward the end of labor, we had a scary moment when our daughter’s heart rate dropped, but even in the intensity of that situation, I felt so much peace and strength because of Kristina and our entire birth team.
She was there for the honey sticks, the best birth squeeze balls, and, oh my gosh, the hip squeezes. But beyond supporting me, she also helped my husband feel confident and empowered as the best support person possible.
I will forever be thankful for the care and support Kristina gave me during the birth of our daughter. She helped turn what could have been a traumatizing experience into something peaceful, powerful, and beautiful.
