I used Megan as my doula for my second home birth, I went without for my first assuming the classes and midwife I had would prepare me and my husband well enough but realized through my first labour that giving birth was HARD! I knew when I was pregnant again I needed some extra support to birth at home again.
Megan is incredibly knowledgeable and so caring, she made friends with my toddler right away during our home visits and was available for any questions or concerns I had. She made sure she had a clear understanding of what I wanted from this birth and I wanted some photos this time as well, so she also asked which moments were most important to me so she could put focus on that.
During the labour she was extremely affirming and supported me exactly as we discussed, really filling in the spaces I felt from my first birth. She was also very discreet grabbing photos throughout and was always ready to jump into action. I felt so taken care of the whole time. I'm so glad I chose Megan for this birth and wouldn't ask for anything to be different.
