We are so lucky to have had Julie with us during our baby's birth. In our search for a doula, Julie really stood out with her kindness and calm demeanor. As a fairly private person, Julie made me immediately comfortable opening up to her about my excitements and fears going into birth. Then, her and my husband connected over their love of language -- she speaks three!
Julie offers in person pre and post-natal visits, which were hugely helpful for us to try out the various birthing positions before birth and work through lactation issues after birth. For our birth, we were in constant communication with her until she joined us at the hospital and helped us walk through a difficult decision. She came in at a critical moment in our birth journey and immediately made me feel calm. And her help with each contraction -- from offering a fan when mine died to having essential oil on-hand to being soothing energy to her beautiful galaxy light for a moment of brevity -- she made a long birth feel mangeable.
Our family is forever thankful to have had Julie by our side as we welcomed our baby into the world. I didn't really know what to expect with a doula but Julie went above and beyond every expectation I had. She really became a part of our family!
