Carli was absolutely wonderful! We engaged her services before we learned that we would need a scheduled c-section, and we are so glad we did. Our first child was a vaginal birth, so the idea of a c-section was intimidating and not our preference, but, Carli eased our fears as she walked us through the entire process from start to finish. Our c-section ended up getting moved up and Carli quickly re-arranged her schedule to make it on time, and we are forever grateful for her! The procedure went EXACTLY as she described, and knowing the process in advance eased my nerves, empowered me to ask questions, and advocate for myself. Our daughter was a premie, so Carli's presence allowed my husband to attend to our daughter while Carli stayed with me. She helped me start pumping quickly after the procedure while my husband went with our daughter to the NICU, and even taught my mom how to use the hospital pump so we were fully prepared when she left. We are so grateful for Carli! Her support, encouragement, and knowledge were invaluable and we highly recommend her as a doula, especially for c-sections!
