She taught my husband labor support techniques and thoughtfully adapted them around his shoulder injury. After delivery, she continued supporting us through postpartum visits that gave us space to process and decompress from the experience.
During labor, Laura was absolutely invaluable. I could never have imagined how deeply “in the zone” I would be. Even with an unmedicated birth, I often couldn’t process information or communicate beyond short phrases. Laura helped communicate my needs while also paying close attention to me in ways I couldn’t for myself. She noticed when I was holding tension, when my breathing changed, or when my voice became strained. She grounded and encouraged me through massage, gentle reminders to relax, hydration, and constant support.
I’ve already told Laura that if I have another child, I want her there with me again. She is kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping her clients have the best birth experience possible. I have no doubt my experience would have been significantly harder without her. She is a calming presence and exactly who you want beside you when you meet the strongest version of yourself.
