Shelby was so helpful throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. During the prenatal visit, she came to our house and spent several hours answering my many questions. She recommended the Three Sisters of Balance to help with my baby's position and I think it made a difference in my labor and delivery process. This was my first baby and my labor was less than ten hours. Everything went so smoothly and I attribute a large part of that to the preparation done beforehand, with Shelby's guidance. My goal was to breastfeed my baby but after a few days at home, I text Shelby in the middle of the night telling her how discouraged I was about it. The next morning, she set up a call with a lactation consultant for me and was there giving advice the whole time.
I really appreciated how Shelby included my husband in the birth preparation. It was important for me to have him be my main support person with a doula there to support both of us. That's exactly what she did. I could not have asked for a better birth experience. I plan to print off the birth story that she wrote and put it in my son's scrapbook to remember the details of the day for years to come.
