T is an angel. I was lucky enough to have her help with my delivery and with postpartum when we brought our son home. She whisked into the delivery room with a gut feeling that I'd be ready to deliver soon - she was right, baby came in an hour from her arrival. She was amazing and helped me understand what my body needed to do to labor, she gave me a sponge bath and massaged my feet. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery and T was an integral part of making that so. Unfortunately our little guy had to go to the NICU after aspirating meconium and T stayed with me while the doctors monitored me after delivery, made sure I ate something, and checked in on us every day after. Doctors were literally stopping me in the hallway telling me how amazing my doula was! When we were finally able to bring our little guy home, T came for our first overnight. As a first time mom with anxious tendencies, the gravity of leaving my baby with someone else felt so big, but T had my husband and I completely at ease. She's taught us so much about newborns and their sleep, has helped me navigate the emotional journey of learning to breastfeed, has offered hugs when needed and always made sure that I was feeling mentally well. When I first contacted T, I didn't really understand how valuable a good doula would be and now on the other side of it all, I am so incredibly grateful I reached out to T and for all of her help. I can't imagine what these last few months would have looked like if we didn't have her support.
