Janice is a true angel on earth! She is clearly very gifted and experienced as a doula.
Despite her being in Victoria and myself living on the mainland in Vancouver, she has felt extremely close to my baby, husband, and I since the moment I reached out to her.
Janice is very informed and skilled, thorough with every step of labour, passionate, communicative, and cares deeply and effortlessly for each of her clients and their babies. Her classes are extremely invaluable — she goes above and beyond to provide resources, extra time, phone calls, or anything you need. She is also flexible if you have to miss a class, will find a way to make it up, and works around your schedule. I always feel as if I am her only client and yet she is working her magic amongst many.
I haven’t yet had my baby but she has been very encouraging the entire pregnancy, and if I was in Victoria I have no doubt that a birth with her as my doula would be an ideal experience.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Janice. Definitely hire her as your doula, and if not then at the very least do her prenatal classes!
