During pregnancy, I was so grateful for her encouragement, helpfulness in planning ahead, practical suggestions for movement, and validation during prodromal labor. I appreciated Rachel’s support and willingness to talk through options— always helping me to feel confident in the choices I felt were best for me. During labor, she was a steady support, remembering things I had said were important to me and advocating for those things alongside me or for me as needed.
