As a first time mom, I had so many nerves and unknowns about what labor and postpartum would actually look like. From the very beginning, Mariah made me feel reassured, prepared, and supported through every phase of the process before, during, and after birth.

During my pregnancy, we had multiple sessions where she walked me through what labor day could look like and practiced calming techniques to help figure out what would put me most at ease. One of the most valuable parts of working with Mariah was how much she supported my partner as well. She gave him practical advice on how to be present, supportive, and useful during labor, which made us both feel so much more confident going into the experience together.

Mariah was incredibly responsive and dependable throughout my pregnancy. Even when I was experiencing Braxton Hicks, she was available, on-call, and ready to support me. During labor, she brought such a calming presence and somehow made the entire day feel manageable and even peaceful. She was always one step ahead, proactively helping with things I didn’t even realize I would need in the moment.

She also built such a respectful and collaborative relationship with every clinician involved in my care, which created an environment where everyone felt aligned and supportive throughout my labor. Even when we experienced a few unexpected road bumps, Mariah helped me feel grounded and confident in myself and my decisions.

Her care didn’t stop after delivery either. Mariah has continued to make me feel empowered during postpartum and has been incredibly supportive of every decision I’ve made as a new mom. She was proactive in helping me with nursing and making sure I felt equipped to care for my baby once he was Earthside.
