We are endlessly grateful to Rachel Brown for the care, support, and compassion she gave our family throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. From our very first meeting, Rachel was warm, knowledgeable, calming, and completely non-judgmental. She made me feel safe, heard, and supported.
I had hoped for a natural vaginal birth, but unexpectedly needed to be induced at 37 weeks. When the induction ultimately failed and I decided to have a c-section, I was scared and deeply disappointed. In one of the most emotional and overwhelming moments of my life, Rachel helped me feel calm, informed, and at peace with the decision for me and my baby.
She patiently walked me through what would happen during the surgery, helped me understand my options, and made sure important parts of my birth wishes were still honored — including calming music, lavender essential oil, and having my baby placed on my chest. Those details meant so much to me, and Rachel helped preserve the beauty and intentionality of our birth experience even when everything changed.
Rachel was also an incredible support for my husband and family. My husband was nervous during the c-section, and Rachel’s steady presence, reassurance, and experience helped all of us feel calmer and less alone.
Looking back, I truly cannot imagine going through that experience without her. Rachel brought compassion, strength, and peace into one of the hardest and most vulnerable days of our lives, and we will always be thankful we met her. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
