As a third-time mom, I already knew what was important to me for my birth experience, and having a doula who truly listened made all the difference. From the very beginning, she cared deeply about making sure I felt informed, supported, and empowered to make the choices that were best for me and my family. She took the time to educate both me and my partner in a way that felt practical, balanced, and personalized to us. We met multiple times before birth, and she walked us through different comfort techniques, labor positions, and approaches that could help during labor. She made my partner feel included and confident too, which meant so much. Many of the things we practiced together ended up being incredibly helpful during labor itself.
What I appreciated a lot was also her approach. She is very evidence-based and knowledgeable, without being overly holistic but also not biased toward the exclusively medical side either. I never felt judged or pushed in any direction, just genuinely supported in making the decisions that felt right for us.
She was present and responsive from the moment we signed the contract, always answering questions quickly and reassuring me whenever I needed it. During labor, she was a constant source of encouragement and calm. She helped guide me through movements, positions, and coping techniques the entire time and truly cared about my wellbeing throughout the process.
Even after birth, she checked in on me, made sure I was doing okay, and has continued to offer postpartum support. You can tell this work comes from her heart. She truly cares about the families she supports, and I’m so grateful we had her by our side during such an important experience. She will always be a part of our family’s journey and story, and I honestly cannot recommend her enough.
