It was so so wonderful having Lynn as my birth doula as a single parent by choice! She was there for absolutely any question I had through the pregnancy and post-partum process, which made me feel so much more confident in all my decisions.
Despite the hospital I gave birth at being overcrowded, which meant long delays in getting a room and an epidural, Lynn helped me work through the pain every step of the way while also advocating for me and getting me everything I needed. She helped me work out what birth positions would work best for me, and supported me fully as I threw almost every part of my original birth plan out the window during the actual delivery.
After the birth, Lynn was available whenever I texted her with questions about everything from breastfeeding to what bottles to buy (even while I was already at the store) to carseats. When I had a hormone crash and texted her panicking a few days postpartum, she walked me through my fears and then came over the very next day with homemade lactation cookies and tea. She really got me through things and I'm ever so grateful to her!!!
