Working with Jenny was a very meaningful part of my pregnancy and birth experience. From early on, she was responsive, checked in regularly, and created a space where I felt supported and heard. As we got to know each other, it was easy to quickly feel at ease with Jenny. Having someone I could turn to with questions or concerns outside of our regular providers brought a sense of reassurance.
She understood our goal of having a VBAC and helped us create a flexible plan, while also offering resources along the way in preparation for labor—from support in trying to turn my breech baby to helping me find someone to process lingering emotions from my previous birth. Her presence was warm, calming, and reassuring.
When my pregnancy took an unexpected turn and I needed to be induced due to preeclampsia, Jenny was a supportive presence. She was just a text or call away during the early stages of labor. Even with the limitations of being confined to bed, she gave us laboring positions to use and helped us adapt in ways that made me feel more confident and in control. After a trying labor, I ended up having a VBAC!
During labor, when things felt intense and uncertain, having Jenny there provided a sense of calm. She helped us stay present, navigate what the doctors were telling us, and supported my husband so he could better support me.
I can’t recommend Jenny enough. Birth can be unpredictable, but having someone who is knowledgeable and steady by your side can make all the difference.
