Our 2nd baby girl will be 3 weeks old very soon. I don't know how I would've made it through labor & delivery without Melanie being a big support for us. During pregnancy, as usual Melanie answered any questions to help us get ready for labor & delivery and when baby gets here. She is my baby product google. Anything I need, she's got it in her arsenal. Labor was very intense this time around but Melanie was there for us as I labored at home before it was time to go to the hospital. I love that our energies align. God was certainly in the room/atmosphere with us. Having a God fearing doula was important to my husband and I and Melanie is that. It's not only because of her values but her knowledge about the process. She knew when I needed to switch positions, rest, eat, drink, cry and laugh. She made sure that I did not get too caught up in my head. Once we got to the hospital, checked in and in our room, They checked me and I was 8cm. The hospital staff started moving swiftly but Melanie made sure my focus stayed on getting baby here. I started to push in the position that brought my first baby girl into this world 3 years ago but no progress, Melanie encouraged me to switch positions to lay on my side. In about 20 mins my posterior, sunny side up baby girl came out. She also took care of my placenta and had it encapsulated. Melanie is the best ever!
