Birth — especially your first — is an experience you’ll look back on and replay in your head for the rest of your life. I’m so grateful that Daisy will be part of that special memory for me. From the moment we first connected (we interviewed a LOT of doulas), I was drawn to her sense of calm and poise. And throughout my pregnancy and birth, these qualities proved immensely valuable in addition to her wealth of knowledge and experience. As soon as she stepped into the L&D room, I felt my fear and anxiety levels go down. She was coming from another birth and was probably exhausted, but she was fully present with me and my husband as we navigated some unexpected complications that arose. Daisy guided me, encouraged me, fed me, massaged me, wiped the sweat and tears off my face, held me, advocated for me, and was everything and more. You’re in such a vulnerable state when you’re giving birth, and Daisy held space for me so beautifully as we welcomed our baby girl. I will forever cherish this memory and will always be grateful for the tremendously important role that Daisy played. Any expectant parents would be so lucky to have Daisy in their corner throughout the entire process.
