Nicole was such an invaluable part of our birth; I actually do not know how women give birth without her. Having a baby was probably the most intense experience of my life, and Nicole made it incredible. With her support, I felt powerful, informed and comforted. We are so grateful for her unrelenting energy, attention and love.
Nicole was non-stop positive support for my pregnancy, post partum, early labor, but most significantly the 24-hours I labored at the hospital. She was the captain of the whole event. Even from the moment we arrived, she was advocating to staff about our wishes and ensured I was insolated from external stresses. She has close working relationships with the staff and knows what services are available.
Her knowledge in baby positioning and spinning was nothing short of witchcraft. My baby didn't have the optimal position during labor which led to some good back pain. Nicole could visualize which positions in which specific order and with what counter pressure were necessary to flip her. This relieved pain and help my delivery to progress.
Nicole knows the birthing process inside and out and always seemed to be one step ahead. She was high energy the whole time, offering support in a hand to hold, or making me drink, or words of encouragement, or ensuring that all were aware of our birth intentions. She encouraged me to listen to my instincts but knew when I might need a change of scenery and would facilitate the change.
Nicole any my husband were a team in supporting me, which took a lot of pressure off him. She explained everything along the way so he was informed so we could make sound decisions when necessary.
This testimonial does not scratch the surface of all the ways Nicole supported our family. I wish I was better with words to describe. She is incredibly knowledgeable and the absolute best. She helped bring our daughter into this world and is now forever apart of the family.
