I cannot recommend Natasha enough. Tuesday morning, I called her thinking I was in labor. We met at the hospital only for contractions to stop and we were sent home. I felt awful for having her drive close to an hour and it not be the real thing. She continuously reassured me that it was okay and not to apologize. Two days later we headed to the hospital in labor. Again labor stalled, but this time we broke my water and within a day met our perfect daughter. Birth was nothing short of eventful, laboring to 10CM and pushing for 4 hours unmedicated, just to end up with a cesarean. None of this would have been possible without the support she offered. She never left my side for the 15 hours that my labor went on for before it turned to a cesarean. She helped me with different positions, counter pressure, massage, constantly offered water and electrolytes, snacks, popsicles, and continuous emotional support for both myself and my husband. Natasha offers a calm presence, helps tremendously with advocacy and informed consent, and broke down all of the medical terminology that I may not have otherwise understood. She is kind, smart, nurturing and loving. For someone I had only met a handful of times to share something as intimate as birth with, I felt completely comfortable 100% of the time. I would recommend Natasha as a doula for anyone that I know. I am heartbroken that she is moving away. We had planned to hire her for our next child whenever that may be but we know no matter where she ends up, she will be successful in this field. Some people are just made to do what they do and she is certainly one of them!
