Katie was my birth & postpartum doula, and I could write a book on how wonderful and supportive she was. From the get-go, Katie was communicative and responsive. Simply via text, she was already empathetic, knowledgeable, organized, open & transparent.
Katie made me feel cared for throughout all the perinatal phases. In the days leading up to the birth, Katie proactively checked in on me. She kept in constant communication with me during early labor, and arrived at the hospital shortly after me. During labor, Katie advocated for me, ensured that I was hydrated and nourished, and gave me immense encouragement. Her presence was calming and grounding, yet strong. She gave me helpful advice for progressing labor, and I felt incredibly cared for. I also opted for birth photography, and the pictures turned out amazing! It's impressive how Katie balances photography and doula care at the same time; neither distracted her from the other.
After labor & delivery, Katie was also my postpartum doula. She was punctual, easy to talk to, and supportive. Katie always worked with exactly what I needed in that moment. On some nights, we chatted, because conversation and connection was what I craved. On other nights, I'd go straight to sleep. I always looked forward to Katie coming over. It's clear that she genuinely cares! I'm so grateful I had Katie in my "village" during this physically & emotionally heightened season of life. Her support was invaluable, and I highly recommend her.
