After our baby was born, Lola didn’t just show up as if this was “only a job” to her. Lola showed up like this was her calling and purpose. Lola gave great advice and suggestions; she even brought us a spare swaddle when I couldn’t find our old ones in storage. There were a couple of times when Lola had to shift our schedule around, but every time she did, she proactively ensured that I still had backup doula coverage for that shift.
