If we had to sum up our experience with Denise in just a few words, it would be this: she is a rock and a rockstar. We were lucky enough to have her by our side for the births of both of our children, and we truly cannot imagine navigating those journeys without her.
For our first birth, things went relatively smoothly. But as anyone knows, even an 'easy' birth comes with a mountain of anxieties. Denise was a constant source of comfort, easing our fears before, during, and long after our baby arrived. She brought incredible energy to the room and instinctively knew exactly the right things to say and do to keep us grounded.
Pregnancy and childbirth are notoriously unpredictable, and so much of the process is completely out of your hands. We learned this the hard way during our second birth, which was far from easy and came with some genuinely scary moments. But that is exactly where Denise shined the most. When things got tough, her steadiness, advocacy, and expertise were a lifeline. She was the anchor we desperately needed when nothing seemed to be going as planned.
There are so many difficult variables when bringing a child into the world, but bringing Denise onto our birth team was easily one of the best decisions we have ever made. We would recommend her to absolutely anyone—and in fact, we already have!
