I never leave reviews but Dia deserves a huge shoutout.
Dia is a beautiful soul, inside and out and I cannot imagine having a better birthing experience with anyone else. It was the perfect, Christ centered birth I had planned for. I went unmedicated and she labored with me from the time we met at the hospital 7 cm (she would have met at my house but I didn't think it was necessary as I was handling well) to my son's delivery. She had an arsenal of labor tricks, techniques, and goodies. Shoutout to the clutch honey sticks that she keeps packed for her clients for that extra calorie pick me up. She never left my side and did everything she was capable of (which was A LOT because of how KNOWLEDGEABLE she is) to make sure I was more comfortable during contractions. She prayed beautifully over me and my child when things started getting intense. She brought such a beautiful calmness to the room. I had a different doula with my first son and was overwhelmed that I knew I was going to have to search for a new one as neither my husband nor myself were satisfied with her services. But as for Dia, as long as she provides her services, without a doubt she will be at all of my following births!
And to finish up, my husband is hardly ever satisfied with anyone and is super critical when it comes to their competency. Well, directly after Dia left our labor and delivery room he expressed how grateful he was for and how impressed he was with her... words that rarely leave his mouth.
