We feel really lucky to have had Ryoko’s support during our first three months as new parents. With her background as a midwife and lactation educator in Japan, she brought a lot of knowledge along with a calm, reassuring presence into our home.
Whenever we had questions or were struggling with breastfeeding, she was there for us. She’s very patient, kind, and thoughtful, and worked with us to find what made sense for our situation.
She’s also very experienced and comfortable with babies. Our baby loved being held by her. Having her around made a huge difference for us, both physically and emotionally, during a pretty intense learning period. She’s also very dependable and was a steady presence during the 10 pm to 6 am window.
