Brooke is everything a doula should be! She is knowledgeable, caring, enthusiastic, and has boundless energy. I reached out to her very late in my pregnancy. My original doula had fallen through and I was also questioning my planned hospital birth at the last minute. I was stressed and feeling out of control but she immediately set my mind at ease. With so much excitement and reassurance, she told me it was a) not too late to be changing plans or reaching out to her and b) whether I chose a hospital or homebirth we would make it amazing together. It was a soul connection at first sight for me. She knew the midwife I was considering and was able to give me a really honest and thorough explanation of her methods. With her confidence and encouragement, I was able to pull together the most amazing homebirth with the most amazing birth team in just two weeks (we thought we had a month but baby had other ideas....). Brooke came to our house to meet me and my husband and spent hours with us. We learned more in those few hours than we had in an entire pregnancy's worth of doctor visits. At the birth, I could have sworn there were three of her - one taking pictures, one decorating (and moving those decorations/affirmation cards every time I moved to a new location), and one by my side the entire time. I don't know how she did it all. She made me feel so held and watched and cared for - and my husband too! She stayed for hours after, making us food, starting laundry, and generally being an angel. Brooke loves what she does and loves her clients and it's so obvious in every little thing she does. She even brought homemade lactation cookies to a post-partum visit! Brooke will make you feel like you can do anything you want with your birth and she will be holding your hand and cheer leading you the entire way.
