I hired Brandi as a birth doula for the second time in 2025. She was with me for the last couple weeks of my second pregnancy in 2021 and I knew I needed her for my whole 3rd pregnancy so I wasted no time reaching out to her. During out initial conversation for this pregnancy, we reviewed all the details we could from my last pregnancy and birth and discussed what I liked, what I didn't, and what I hoped for this time around. She was available throughout my pregnancy with any questions I had. When I went into labor, I contacted her right away and she was available by phone for the first half of labor while I labored at home. She walked me through things I could try to ease the pain and get through as much labor at home as I could. When I decided it was time to go to the hospital, she showed up with me and helped me to navigate some questionable "policies" at the hosptial and helped navigate requests and demands from hospital staff. Her guidance and support through the rest of the rough pregnancy was priceless. Even though I did not have the labor that I envisioned, she supported my decisions while also encouraging me.
