My husband and I had an incredibly positive experience working with Char as our doula!
We started working with Char when I was 30 weeks pregnant and were able to lean on her with questions, worries and advice during my pregnancy. Char also walked us through a detailed birth plan that helped me feed prepared for labor and delivery by knowing what my options were. When I was faced with being induced, Char walked me through what to expect and supported me as I accepted this new plan for delivery.
During delivery, Char was an incredible support through contractions, making decisions about pain medicine and pushing.
Char also supported my husband through the entire journey, teaching him how best to support me and also allowing him to focus on being my support system while Char guided us through how to handle labor. It was such a comfort during pregnancy to know that Char would be there to help us through labor and delivery. I also loved how much experience Char has with deliveries. I knew that no matter what happened, Char would have seen it before and be able to talk me through whatever might happen.
I would highly recommend Char as a doula. For her vast experience as a professional and as a mom, for her compassionate approach to support during labor and for being an affordable doula. Char truly was the magic behind our positive birth experience and I can't imagine having a baby without her!
