Testimonial for Carly Booth Lopez
Having Carly as our doula made our birth experience and first two weeks of postpartum much easier to get through. I had to be induced much earlier than expected (6 weeks early) and Carly was still able to be there for me at the birth. Carly helped with different positions and massaging while I was laboring. I feel like this may have helped me progress more quickly than I was expecting for my first pregnancy, which ended up being a total of around 24 hours. She also helped make the labor and delivery room feel comfortable and cozy by having essential oils and twinkle lights around the room. Although our postpartum care schedule needed to be rearranged, Carly did all that should could to make sure our needs were still met. Having Carly there for night shifts helped us catch up on much needed sleep so that we could be ready to go the next morning. We also did some day time shifts, where Carly helped wash baby bottles, do baby laundry, and give baby baths. Carly helped reassure us that we were doing a good job taking care of our newborn and that we could always reach out to her with any questions!
