As a first time mom I knew I wanted to have support throughout my pregnancy and my labor and delivery. Kristie at Joyful Journey Doula Services LLC went above and beyond any expectations I had as I entered this new chapter of motherhood. Kristie stayed in contact with me throughout the entire pregnancy and frequently sent me thoughtful messages to check in to see how I was feeling. She was always available to answer any questions I had and encouraged me to contact her any time. We met together during my pregnancy and she provided me with detailed childbirth education and resources. As we went through the resources together she took the time to listen and understand my preferences for birth and helped me put together a birth plan for the hospital. During my labor Kristie helped me with comfort techniques and helped my husband assist me in a variety of comfort techniques as well. When I needed interventions for the labor process, Kristie helped us understand the benefits and risks so my husband and I could inform the hospital staff what I wanted to do. After the labor and delivery Kristie came to our home for a postpartum visit and I was able to process what I experienced and talk about my labor and delivery with her. I highly recommend her services to any Mama looking for quality support as she is someone who genuinely cares about you and your labor and delivery. We will be hiring her for our next pregnancy.
