As a birth doula, Astrid worked closely with us to create a birth plan that fit our family's values best, and educated us on labor and delivery topics that helped us make informed decisions. During the birth itself, we relied heavily on Astrid to provide emotional and physical support, and her expert guidance on each step of the process made us feel confident even when things didn't necessarily go according to plan. Astrid's role in our baby's birth made us feel at ease that we were getting the best care possible for mom and baby.
As a postpartum night doula, Astrid is a true wizard, helping to create gentle routines that support infant sleep and mom's healing. We were amazed that our baby started sleeping longer and longer stretches and we problem-solved all breastfeeding/bottle feeding issues that came up. Astrid's support during the day was phenomenal, helping us create an organized system for baby clothes as she tended lovingly to our baby.
On a more personal note, Astrid is just a wonderful human being to be around, with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. She can impart wisdom on all different ages and stages. We really felt like Astrid took care of us in addition to our baby, initiating us into parenthood in a way that made us feel genuinely confident in ourselves.
