When my husband and I found out we were pregnant, we knew we wanted a doula to be a part of our birth story. We went through 10+ rounds of doula interviews over phone call and video chat, but no one felt quite right for our family. The doulas we spoke to presented themselves as either extremely knowledgeable or super compassionate. We were looking for a doula who was both. That’s where Kira came in. When we first met Kira, her kind soul and maternal energy immediately permeated the anxious walls my husband and I had built surrounding our pregnancy and birth fears. Kira is knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, takes pride in her continued education of the industry, and shows a genuine interest in the families she serves. Throughout our time with Kira, she remained respectful and communicative at all times, guided us through the difficult decision of induction, and acted as an absolute angel in the delivery room.
