My husband and I hired Franchesca as our doula pretty last minute as it was already the month I was due. Franchesca really helped us to ease our anxieties and fears of first time parents. She was super flexible with her schedule and we were able to meet to work on a birth plan and to practice different movements to prepare my body for a unmedicated natural childbirth. . She was also very responsive through text. We didn't get to all of our prenatal visits so she offered us an extra postpartum visit which was really nice of her. If we had any questions she was always super informative and shared multiple resources with us. During the day of labor she constantly checked in on us and made herself available for when ever we were ready for her to come over to our apartment to help with laboring at home. Throughout laboring at home and also at the hospital Franchesca was constantly giving me positive affirmations, doing hip squeezes, overall following our birth plan and just filling in any way we needed her like helping us carry things we needed at the hospital. During and after the delivery she kept checking in on me to see how I was doing and offering things to make sure I was comfortable. I had a really great birthing experience in which my birth plan really came to reality as I was able to give birth unmedicated while feeling calm and supported. We're super thankful to Franchesca for all of her support. Having Franchesca for postpartum visits was also great! My husband and I were able to get much needed bonding time, she thought me how to wrap myself and was also able to help us with baby laundry. We would definitely recommend you hire Franchesca as your doula! :)
