With my husband deployed, I was facing this experience without my partner by my side, but she stepped in with such warmth, strength, and care that she truly felt like a mom to me in those moments.
She was the one constant presence throughout my labor and delivery, right there with me alongside my birth photographer. Knowing I had her support made all the difference. She created such a calm, safe, and empowering environment, and because of her, the entire experience was genuinely wonderful.
It’s the little things that meant just as much too—like taking the time to braid my hair like I had hoped for, helping me feel like myself and cared for even in such an intense moment.
